It goes without saying that the 2025 Tesla Model Y mid-size SUV is a big deal for the American electric car brand, with it arriving at a time that the best-selling model is experiencing a significant sales decline as founder Elon Musk consistently courts controversy and a deluge of sharply priced Chinese competitors continue arrive on the Australian market.

So, what is the updated Model Y bringing to the table? Well, its front end has a new Cybertruck-inspired design, while the rear debuts a new tail-light treatment. Inside, the gear selector has been moved to the larger touchscreen multimedia system. But the big news is under the metal, where the suspension has finally been overhauled for a more comfortable ride.
