The rear-wheel drive model with a 516-mile range is now priced at about $36,400 — that's $1,400 less than its original launch price on August 12. This pricing change brings the long-range version closer to the base Model 3, which starts at around $33,000 in China.

Tesla now offers four Model 3 variants in the Chinese market. The other two higher-end versions — both dual-motor — start at roughly $40,000 for the long-range all-wheel drive and $48,000 for the performance model. Prices for those haven’t changed.

And in a nod to customer feedback, Tesla has brought back the physical turn signal stalk on the Model 3 in China. It’s now standard on new sedans and available as a paid upgrade for vehicles already delivered.
