Why is Tesla in India the most expensive compared to the USA, China, or Germany?

The same Tesla Model Y which sells for 32 lakhs in America and China, goes up to 60–68 lakhs in India! The reason is India’s heavy import duty on cars ranging from 70% to 100%, along with extra shipping and handling charges.

Even though there’s huge demand for Tesla cars in India, the government has denied tax exemptions. This is why India pays the highest price in the world for Tesla.
