In today's video I review the 2024/2025 Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD, from a petrolhead's perspective.
However, I'm doing the right thing but not comparing an electric car to a performance variant of the vehicle the Tesla could be replacing. To me, Tesla, and most electric cars for that matter, are better compared to mundane versions of internal combustion cars. Tesla and electric cars tend to do their best work when doing mundane and everyday stuff, and that's where the simple internal combustion car is fighting a comparable fight.
At the end of the day, if you're someone that wants the feeling of an internal combustion engine that's powerful, no matter how good the Tesla is, it will never give you what the fossil fuel powered car will.
I do find it kind of pointless to compare cars that can't give you a comparable experience when a nice sound is desired, or perhaps the sensation that there is something "breathing" propelling you forward.
This review is an unhinged take on the everyday ability of the Tesla Model 3, coming from someone that squeals like a little girl when a C63 AMG goes by (the proper one, with 8 cylinders, not this new shameful 4 pot thing they decided to come out with).
